This month’s Meetup is hosted by the Palm Beach Tech Association located in 1909 on the second floor in downtown West Palm Beach at 313 Datura St, Suite 100, West Palm Beach, FL 33401.
“We don’t build websites for blind people.” That’s an all too common response when accessibility is brought up. It’s a response caused by myths and misunderstandings about accessibility and disabilities, as well cost and effort.
In this talk I’ll clear up those myths and misunderstandings. You’ll learn what, how, and (most importantly) why accessibility benefits the end user and your business.
You’ll learn several practical, yet simple, design and development tips and tricks to address a majority accessibility pitfalls. You’ll see how designing for accessibility can lead to groundbreaking innovations. And what it can cost you if you don’t address accessibility.

From Miami, take the 5:40 p.m. train, or from Fort Lauderdale, take the 6:12 p.m. train to arrive in West Palm Beach station at 6:55 p.m. The Meetup starts at 7:30 p.m.
The Meetup will wrap-up at 9:00 p.m. for you to catch the departing 9:30 p.m. train.
